Sta. Catalina College extends its mission of compassion and community care through the Mother Francisca del Espiritu Santo Extension Service (MFDES), a program that upholds our commitment to service and support for those in need. Inspired by the values of our foundress, Mother Francisca del Espiritu Santo, MFDES leads various outreach initiatives that bring hope, assistance, and joy to families and communities around us.
In times of natural disasters, MFDES stands ready to respond with immediate assistance and long-term support for those affected. Our team, composed of staff, students, and volunteers, provides relief supplies and essential items to help families rebuild. Through generous donations and dedicated service, we aim to bring comfort and strength to those facing the challenges of calamities, uplifting our community in times of need.
Every year, MFDES hosts the Christmas Bigayan Program, a cherished event that spreads joy to children and families in our neighborhood. During this festive season, we come together to share gifts, meals, and warm moments with those who might otherwise go without. The Christmas Bigayan Program reflects the spirit of Mother Francisca, whose heart was devoted to caring for the underprivileged, and it allows us to embody her compassion, ensuring that everyone experiences the joy and generosity of the holiday season. Through MFDES, Sta. Catalina College not only teaches the values of compassion and kindness but lives them, creating a bridge between our school and the greater community. By supporting these outreach initiatives, we nurture a spirit of solidarity and love that empowers individuals and strengthens our shared commitment to a better world.
